Day 01 Arrive in DELHI

You arrive in the capital city Delhi on your own. We shall receive you at the airport. Assist you to the hotel. Check you in. Later in the day you leave for New Delhi tour. Visit India gate, President House & Birla temple. Overnight in Delhi

Day 02 DELHI (Old Delhi tour)

You experience rickshaw ride in the bustling Chandni chowk opposite the illustrious red fort. Walk to one of the largest spice wholesale markets of Asia winding your way through narrow lanes & by lanes. Savor the famous Paranthas in the illustrious food street. See hundreds of locals, walk alongside & greeting you with a smile. Visit Raj ghat & the Jama Mosque. Return to your hotel.

Day 03 DELHI – KOLKATA (2hrs, 15 minutes flight)

Leave after breakfast for Kolkata. On arrival we meet with you at the airport & transfer you to your hotel. Rest of the evening is at leisure. You may also opt for half a day of city tour though. We list for you some of the worth seeing places while you are in this city of Joy for 3 days.

Howrah Bridge, Jorasankho Thakurbari, Park Street, Indian Museum, Victoria Memorial, Birla Temple, Eden gardens, Marble Palace Mansion, Sishu Bhawan (Mother Teresa Home), Esplanade Tram Station.

DAY 06 KOLKATA – DIMAPUR- KHONOMA - KOHIMA (1 HR, 40 minutes FLIGHT, 75 KMS 2 ½ HRS road journey)

Leave by the morning flight to Dimapur. Disembark & drive to Kohima. En-route visit Khonoma. The Angami men of Khonoma, famed for their martial prowess and strategic skills, fought a resolute battle to safeguard their territory, inflicting heavy casualties on the foreign soldiers. It is also the first green village of India. Khonoma may well be the only village in India that has a global citizenry with an active self-identity; every year, 1 September is celebrated as the village’s ‘birthday’, with Khonomaians from far and wide coming to the village to celebrate, or carrying out celebrations wherever they may be.

DAY 07 KOHIMA – MOKOKCHUNG (145 KMS, 6-7 HRS)

Have breakfast at the hotel in the morning. Drive to Mokokchung, the famous AO tribes live here, upon arrival check into your hotel. Afternoon is at leisure. Later explore the town on your own, being the cultural hub of the Ao people, you can visit the many churches all around the town. Or if you want to understand the art, history and culture of the place, you should head out to the Mokokchung District museum in the Arts and Cultural Complex. The museum display exhibits various artifacts of Ao Naga tribe such as swords, shield, shawl, clothing, traditional jewelry, accessories and more. Or you can just stroll at the Town main park, which is located just above the Town Center. Return to your hotel. Overnight at Mokokchung

Day 08 MOKOKCHUNG

Yet another day of experiencing life at the Ao Naga Villages in & around Mokokchung; Enjoy the untouched landscape. Learn more about the tribes and their lives. Go for small walks exploring the villages and nearby areas. Take lots of photos and memories back. Return to your hotel. Over night at Mokokchung;

Day 09 MOKOKCHUNG – MON (190 KMS, 7-8 hrs)

After an very early breakfast proceed to Mon. This place is Home of the Konyaks, The largest out of 16 officially recognized tribes in Nagaland, the Konyak are known as ‘those violent headhunters with tattooed faces.The town was established at the land of Chen and Mon villages. Situated at an altitude of 2,945 ft (898 m) above sea level, it is centrally located for the coronation of Anghs (chiefs). The place has always evoked a sense of awe and wonder in the minds of people. Colorful life and culture are an integral part of the 16 officially recognized Naga tribes of Nagaland. These 16 tribes are different and unique in their customs and traditions. These customs and traditions are further translated into festivals which revolve around their agricultural cycle. Songs and dances form the soul of these festivals through which their oral history has been passed down the generations. Nature has been kind to the Nagas and their land.

Day 10 MON- LONGOWA – MON (4O KMS, 2 HRS EACH SIDE)

Today you visit the nearby tribal village of Longowa. Located on a ridge between India & Myanmar, this sleepy little village is a panoramic sight to hold. Walk through the villages for untouched life & beauty. Return to Mon.

Day 11 MON – DIBRUGARH (ASSAM) (200 KMS 6-7 HRS)

Have breakfast early in the morning. Drive to Dibrugarh, the northernmost point of Assam & gateway to Aurnachal Pradesh. It has huge tea estates, perhaps the largest in the world, making it very famous. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Overnight at Dibrugarh;

Day 12 DIBRUGARH – ALONG (ARUNACHAL PRADESH (255 KMS 7-8 HRS)

After breakfast, drive down to Along), the land of Adi Gallong tribes of Arunachal Pradesh. Located at an altitude of 300 m above sea level, Along is the headquarters of the West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The idyllic town lies nestled in a picturesque valley, surrounded by lofty mountains and the beautiful rivers of Sipu and Siyom.

Day 13 ALONG - KABO VILLAGE AND TREK – ALONG

This morning after breakfast, visit one of the largest Gallong tribal village called Dwarka village which has more the 1500 houses made of bamboo and palm. Enroute enjoy the great view of Siang River and Syiom River confluence. Overnight at Along.

Also visit Kabo Village, situated on the banks of Yomgo/Siyum River. While there check out the hanging bridge made of cane and bamboo on the River Yomgo. Later trek to farmer’s country towards Tuting. Return to your hotel. Overnight at Along.

Day 14 ALONG – DAPORIJO (135 kms, 4-5 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Daporijo (176 kms / 07 hrs) – land of Tagin and Hillmiris tribes of Arunachal Pradesh. The small town is endowed with scenic beauty. One can see suspension bridges over Subansiri River made from bamboo and cane- a testimony of rich tribal craftsmanship. Subansiri River is ideal for river rafting, angling and picnic. Arrive and check into your hotel. Overnight at Daporijo.

Day 15 DAPORIJO - ZIRO

Drive to Ziro – the land of Apatani Tribes of Arunachal. Afternoon visit Hong Village. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 16 ZIRO – APATANI AND NISHI TRIBAL VILLAGES - ZIRO

Today enjoy the full day exploring the Apatani villages and Nishi tribal Village. The Apatanis belong to the Tibeto-Mongoloid stock and are well-built, fair in complexion and medium to tall in structure. The Apatani society is patriarchal. They are agriculturists and practice permanent cultivation. The uniqueness of the Apatani tribe is tattooing on the women’s face and their nose plug. Apatani, like other tribes also believe in sun and the moon as god and have traditional altar in their home made up of Bamboo and Cane. Return to your hotel. Overnight at Ziro.

Day 17 ZIRO – TEZPUR (280 kms, 7-8 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to tea estate in Tezpur. Located on the north bank of the Brahmaputra, Tezpur is a beautiful and multifaceted city steeped in mythology and history. The city abounds in archaeological sites, hills, lakes and gardens. Overnight at Tezpur;

Day 18 TEZPUR – GUWAHATI (180 kms, 4-5 kms)

Enjoy breakfast in the morning. Drive to Guwahati. Upon reaching, check in your hotel. Later leave for a sightseeing tour of the famous Kamakhya temple, Saraighat Bridge & the Iskcon temple. Stay overnight.

Day 19 GUWAHATI – BAGDOGRA - DARJEELING (I hr. FLIGHT + 3 HRS ROAD JOURNEY)

You Leave for the hill station Darjeeling today. First up, you fly into Bagdogra, the connecting hub of the North eastern states. Upon arrival we meet & assist you to the waiting vehicle for a drive to Darjeeling. Over the next 3 hours you are serenaded by the picturesque settings on both sides of the highway. Check in your hotel after arrival to the beautiful town. Rest of the evening is at leisure.

Day 20 DARJEELING

Get up early to sunrise from the Tiger Hill. We will be leaving the hotel around 04.00 am for covering the 10 kms distance to reach the Tiger Hill. Upon reaching enjoy the panoramic views of sunrise from Mount Everest along with Kangchenjunga from the observation deck.

Later return to Darjeeling, on the way back we will be visiting Ghoom Monastery. Built in 1857, the monastery established by Lama Sherab Gyatso. The monastery follows the Gelug School of Tibetan Buddhism, and here you will find a 15 ft high statue of future Buddha.

Return to Darjeeling via Batasia Loop. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel, fresh-n-up and enjoy tasty breakfast.

Post breakfast we will have an excursion around the hill city visiting the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. It was established in 1954 and is one of the renowned mountaineering institutes of the world. Later, we will be visiting the P.N. Zoological Park, Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Centre, Japanese Temple and Tea Garden. Return to the hotel for spending evening in leisure, followed by a comfy overnight stay.

Day 21 DARJEELING – GANGTOK (3 HRS)

This morning, after breakfast, you will drive to Gangtok, which will take approximately three hours. On arrival at Gangtok, you will be transferred to the comfortable pre-booked hotel. Stay and dinner at the Gangtok hotel.

Day 22 GANGTOK

oday is going to be a fun day as you will be going for a sightseeing tour to Gangtok. Covering regions like Tashi view point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Flower show, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre, Institute of Tibetology, Dro-dul Chorten, Enchey Monastery & Banjakhri Falls, today, you will explore the most famed regions of Gangtok. Overnight stay and dinner at Gangtok hotel.

Day 23 GANGTOK –BAGDOGRA – DELHI

After breakfast drive to Bagdogra Airport for a flight to Delhi. Upon disembarking, we meet you at the exit & assist you to the waiting car outside. Check you in the hotel for dinner & overnight stay.

Day 24 DELHI - AMRITSAR (BY EARLY MORNING SUPERFAST TRAIN)

Leave for the holy city of Amritsar this morning. On arrival at Railway Station, we meet & transfer you the hotel. You relax a while before leaving for the Indo-Pak Wagah border to watch Flag Retreat Ceremony- Attari Wagah, an army Joint Check Post on India-Pakistan border 30 Kms from Amritsar where the daily highlight is the evening “Beating the Retreat” ceremony. Soldiers from both countries march in perfect drill, going through the steps of bringing down their respective national flags. Return to hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 25 AMRITSAR

After Breakfast , Start your city tour with the blessings of Golden Temple-the most important sikh shrine also known as Harmandir Sahib and Darbar Sahib. Then visit Jallianwala Bagh- the place that reminds every Indian of the brutal and hearless massacre by british general Dyer.
Visit Durgiana Temple :- The temple The complex houses Shree Laxmi Narayan Mandir with a huge pond on its periphery
Mata Lal Ji Devi Temple : The replica Temple of Mata Vaishno Devi Temple in Katra , Jammu and Kashmir.
Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum and Panorama in Ram Bagh
The landscaped garden with Summer palace of Maharaja Ranjit Singh in the center. The Maharaja later named it Ram Bagh. It has a museum with relics of Mughal era and hand drawn sketches and portraits of the ruling Sikhs.
Rest of the day at your leisure for shopping etc. Return To Hotel, Overnight at Amritsar Hotel.
